The Bakersfield Chapter of NJB is excited about this season. Last year, over 325 children participated in Bakersfield NJB program. Several teams competed in the National Tournament and received high honors and a team who won the National Championship.
We offer young people the opportunity to have fun, develop as individuals and learn to play basketball. They play as teams in a competitive environment for boys and girls in grades three through eight, ages 7-14.
Fundamental and Development Program
To us, basketball is still a game, played for pleasure and fun by many young and adult athletes. Youth sports however, can be used to nurture and motivate young people to gain the discipline, perseverance, character and teamwork abilities, that will take our young children who play it, a long way in fulfilling what they want their lives to be.
